MCA Youth urges the Ministry of Communications, specifically Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Deputy Minister Teoh Nie Ching, to investigate and take action against DAP's Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng for exploiting Parliament to spread fake news.

Lim Lip Eng's accusation against MCA MPs for allegedly skipping the vote on the Bill to dissolve the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) is baseless slander and constitutes the creation of fake news. Despite the Ministry's repeated calls to combat fake news, Lim Lip Eng's statements effectively create and disseminate misinformation.

It's crucial for the Ministry to act consistently in combating fake news, applying its standards equally to all, including MPs from DAP who engage in such practices. Failure to do so risks being perceived as applying double standards.

Among notable MPs absent during the voting included Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar (Tambun), Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (Bagan Datuk), Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof (Petra Jaya), PKR MP for Bandar Tun Razak Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, and DAP MPs Gobind Singh Deo (Damansara), Nga Kor Ming (Teluk Intan), Teo Nie Ching (Kulai), Wong Kah Who (Taiping), Chow Kon Yeow (Batu Kawan and Penang Chief Minister) and Yeo Bee Yin (Puchong).

Lim Lip Eng's selective focus on MCA MPs reveals his intent to defame and slander.

Screenshots from the live recording confirm these absences, yet Lim Lip Eng chooses silence on these instances while targeting MCA alone. Such double standards mirror Lim Lip Eng's hypocrisy and lack of maturity.
