In the face of DAP’s latest attempt to deflect accountability by accusing MCA of “selective amnesia” over the RM250 million MyKiosk debacle, MCA Youth Pahang responds with a clear message: We have nothing to hide — and everything to uncover. That’s why we welcome a full investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). In fact, we’re willing to walk through MACC’s doors alongside DAP themselves, because the public deserves answers, not excuses.
If DAP genuinely believes that “MCA is also involved,” then prove it — not with noise, but with action. We’re not interested in playing the blame game from the sidelines. We’re on the ground, listening to hawkers, seeing the flaws, and most importantly, asking the questions the rakyat wants answered.
Let’s be clear: MCA does have councillors in certain state and local councils — which is exactly why we refuse to stay silent. That gives us even more reason to insist on transparency and accountability. So instead of distracting the public, DAP should help answer these urgent questions:
• Who authorised the national standard specifications (BQ) for the kiosks?
• Why is the government paying RM25,000 to RM34,000 per kiosk, when their market value is only RM12,800?
• If the specifications were truly standardised nationwide, how do we explain such wild price differences? Were federal funds disbursed without proper vetting?
• The government claims “hundreds of contractors” are involved — where is the full list?
• The Minister says 80% of stalls are rented out — then publish the tenant list. And how do you explain the sub-leasing that’s happening?
• Hawkers are reporting leaking roofs and solar systems which deplete quickly — is this how the Minister defines “Tesla-level” quality?
These are not partisan jabs — they’re legitimate questions backed by facts on the ground. So we ask again: Where did the RM250 million in public funds really go?
Unlike DAP, MCA does not run from responsibility. If any of our councillors are found complicit, we fully support them being held accountable — no double standards, no protection, no exceptions.
But what’s truly disturbing is how DAP, instead of addressing the substance of these questions, is trying to shut down scrutiny with political spin. That’s not leadership — that’s evasion. Malaysians expect better from those in power.
This country has more than enough “yes-men”. What we need are citizens to check and balance and hold the powers-that-be into account.
So here’s our challenge to DAP: If you have evidence, bring it. Walk with us into the MACC. File the report. Let’s uncover the full story — together. Because if there’s wrongdoing, it must be exposed. And if there’s responsibility, it must be owned.
The truth doesn’t fear investigation.
Does DAP?
